Meet Premier High School Online Campus Director and District Testing Coordinator for Premier High Schools in Arkansas, Darius Young! Darius has called ResponsiveEd home since 2019 and plays a crucial role in providing hope for students across Arkansas. Originally from Twin Groves, Arkansas, Darius graduated from Arkansas State University before pursuing his master’s in educational leadership at the University of Arkansas.
Before his current roles, Darius served in several campus and district-level positions, including as a math teacher at Premier High School – North Little Rock, a 504 coordinator, ESL designee, dyslexia interventionist, and later assistant campus director.
As Premier High School Online Campus Director, Darius spearheads all communication and engagement efforts, supports staff, students, and their families throughout the year, and ensures all school plans comply with state and federal regulations. Additionally, as the District Testing Coordinator for Premier High Schools in Arkansas, Darius oversees all state testing processes and the coordination of various college tests across the district.
“I am most proud of my impact on students and the community. It is an amazing feeling to be able to teach and lead students to academic and emotional success and be able to engage with members of the community,” said Darius. “I am also grateful for the support I receive from leadership and the opportunity to work alongside individuals who use their experiences and knowledge to help me improve as an educator.”
