Tell Us About Yourself
I was born and raised in Laredo and graduated from Texas A&M International University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in sociology. Since joining ResponsiveEd in 2014, I have worked at Premier High School campuses in Laredo and San Antonio and have held various roles, including lead teacher and 504 coordinator.
What inspired you to become an educator?
My educator journey began in 2002 when I worked as a juvenile detention officer for Webb County. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in education and work towards making a meaningful and positive impact on students’ lives.
What are some things that your students have taught you?
My students have taught me that learning is a lifelong process. They have also taught me the importance of being patient and understanding.
What are you most proud of about your time with Premier High School – Laredo?
I am most proud of all our faculty and staff have accomplished over the years. Few things are better than witnessing our students thrive and achieve their goals.
What do you like most about being an educator for your campus?
I enjoy working for ResponsiveEd because of the supportive leadership and sense of community with the staff and families. Together, we can accomplish so much and make a difference in students’ lives.
