At ResponsiveEd, we are focused not only on the success of our students but on the achievements and growth of our talented educators leading the way. As we assemble the best collection of talent around to inspire and provide hope for students, we are honored to spotlight those already making a difference in the lives of our students across the district.

This week, we sat down with Jane Paramore, who teaches Kindergarten through fifth-grade life skills and special education courses at Denton Classical Academy.

Tell Us About Yourself

I was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Houston, Texas. I graduated from Texas Tech University with my teaching degree and certification in 6-12th grade home economics. Throughout my career, I have earned certifications in elementary general education and K-12 special education. I joined ResponsiveEd in 2018 and teach life skills and special education courses for grades K-5 at Denton Classical Academy.

What inspired you to become an educator?

I have wanted to become a teacher from a very young age. My Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Cianciabella, had an impact on me, and I always wanted to be just like her.

What are some things that your students have taught you?

My students taught me that success looks different for each student and to never give up. Throughout our journey together, I get to know each student and learn the things that help them all reach their goals and be successful. As a result, I can learn about each student’s particular route to success.

What are you most proud of about your time with Denton Classical Academy?

I am really proud that I have continued to grow as a teacher and learn new things every day. I have been fortunate enough to work with such devoted and talented Special Education leaders during my time at Denton Classical Academy, who continue to push me out of my comfort zone and inspire me to be creative every day.

What do you like most about being an educator for your campus?

I love working for ResponsiveEd because of all the incredible people I work with. I have never worked with a more collaborative and supportive group of teachers. I am also grateful for the amazing leadership and trust they instilled in me and my abilities in the classroom.
