While most high school seniors are preparing for graduation, iSchool High – Creekside senior Blake Gibson has been busy growing his own business. At just 17 years old, Blake is the founder of VoiceBot, an AI-powered receptionist designed to help businesses answer customer calls, book appointments, and recover missed revenue.
Blake’s entrepreneurial journey began with Voice Labs, an AI voice cloning platform. After realizing the idea needed redirection, he found inspiration during a visit to a restaurant.
“I noticed the phone ringing nonstop, but no one was available to answer it,” Blake said. “I realized businesses were losing customers every time a call went unanswered.”
That observation led to VoiceBot, a system that answers calls, books appointments, and responds to customer inquiries around the clock without human intervention. Through partnerships with several local businesses, VoiceBot has helped clients collectively save an average of 100 calls per month while increasing missed-call revenue recovery by 30 percent.
“My mission is to scale VoiceBot nationally so that every business owner can save time, recover lost revenue, and focus on what they do best,” he said.
Blake credits the flexibility and support at iSchool High – Creekside with helping him balance his entrepreneurial passions and schoolwork.
In addition to earning his high school diploma later this month, Blake recently graduated from Lone Star College with his associate’s degree, as part of Creekside’s dual-credit program, and was named valedictorian for the Class of 2026. This fall, he will attend the University of Texas at Austin, where he plans to continue growing VoiceBot while furthering his education.
As technology continues to shape the future, students like Blake are proving that it is never too early to pursue their goals and passions.
