HUNTSVILLE, Texas — Premier High School and TexasWorks – Huntsville, tuition-free ResponsiveEd schools, are proud to welcome Brooke Burns as the new Campus Director, bringing more than 25 years of community involvement and nearly two decades of experience in education and school leadership to the role.
A longtime Huntsville resident and graduate of Sam Houston State University, Burns has dedicated her career to serving local students and families. She began her educational career at Scott Johnson Elementary, where she spent 14 years teaching and building meaningful relationships with generations of Huntsville families. After earning her graduate degree from Texas A&M University, she continued her commitment to local education by serving as Assistant Campus Director at Ignite Community School, another ResponsiveEd school, for the past four years.
Now leading both Premier High School and TexasWorks – Huntsville, Burns is focused on creating a welcoming, student-centered environment where every learner has the support and opportunities needed to reach their goals.
“It is an honor to serve the Huntsville community in this new role,” said Burns. “My goal is for every student, family, and community partner to feel valued and appreciated. By building strong relationships and fostering a culture rooted in grace, respect, and high expectations, we can help students achieve both academic success and personal growth.”
Premier High School – Huntsville offers a flexible, personalized approach to education designed for students who benefit from a non-traditional learning environment. With self-paced instruction, individualized graduation plans, and caring educators who meet students where they are, Premier High School empowers students to earn their high school diploma while preparing for college, careers, military service, or the workforce.
Located on the same campus, TexasWorks – Huntsville provides adults ages 18 to 50 with the opportunity to earn a high school diploma in a flexible, supportive environment.
