Tell Us About Yourself
I’m originally from Southern California and graduated from Long Beach State University with a degree in linguistics. After graduation, I spent two years teaching English in Japan before moving back to the United States in 2018. I joined ResponsiveEd in 2020, and teach ninth-grade western civilization, astronomy and composition at Founders Classical Academy – Conroe.
What inspired you to become an educator?
I have always had a passion for learning and knew I wanted to share that with others from an early age. It was a natural and enjoyable progression getting in front of a classroom of students starting in Japan, and then later in the United States.
What are some things that your students have taught you?
My students have taught me to always have a positive attitude and to never stop being curious about the world.
What are you most proud of about your time with Founders Classical Academy – Conroe?
I am most proud of the work I have contributed to creating a supportive and fun campus environment for staff and students.
What do you like most about being an educator for your campus?
I enjoy the curriculum that I teach and the discussions that I get to have with my students that stem from it.
