ResponsiveEd is excited to announce a new tuition-free diploma and career certification program for adult learners ages 18-50. TexasWorks schools provide the same level of quality, personalized education as Premier High Schools, which for more than 25 years have successfully helped students up to 26 years old earn their high school diplomas and create a brighter future for more than 20,000 graduates across Texas and Arkansas.
The academic program gives students the flexibility to learn independently and pursue their dreams, with the power to customize their educational experience to fit their lifestyle and needs. TexasWorks provides a comprehensive and flexible education, offering students an individual education plan for their academic journey and options for in-person classes or online learning platforms.
“The staff at TexasWorks develops personalized learning plans for each student, ensuring each student has a clearly defined path to success,” said Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Camarena. “The goal of TexasWorks is to meet students where they are by creating an individualized pathway to graduation and career readiness while ensuring each student’s personal needs are supported. With TexasWorks, students will earn a diploma and launch a career.”
In addition to working toward their diploma, students receive career readiness training with region-specific Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses that lead to industry certification and a pathway to a career.
TexasWorks has coordinated with communities, families, and local leaders at each campus to ensure that the career pathways offered reflect local needs. TexasWorks bridges the transition from classroom to career through existing partnerships with local businesses and colleges.
Each campus provides students with an array of support services, ranging from childcare and transportation services to mental health counseling and instructional support for students with disabilities or impairments.
