ResponsiveEd has opened its second tuition-free, early intervention school for students on the autism spectrum in Plano in time for the 2021-22 school year. Foundation School of Autism – Plano serves students in grades PK3, PK4, kindergarten, and first grade at 2200 Midway Road in the former home of Cambridge Academy. Foundation School of Autism – Plano staff is excited to welcome students for the new school year.
“We have been successfully providing early intervention services to students with autism spectrum disorders at our San Antonio campus since 2010,” says Foundation School of Autism – Plano Campus Director, Rachel Schneider. “We are excited to be part of the Plano community and can’t wait to get started.”
Foundation School of Autism – Plano employs a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support the development of language and communication skills, an Occupational Therapist (OT) to help students develop fine motor skills, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavioral support to students, staff, and parents. This is in addition to the two educators in every classroom, a certified special education teacher and instructional aide.
