iSchool Virtual Academy (iSVA) Alumni Elizabeta Rodriguez
As a talented dancer, Elizabeta struggled to find a school that allowed her the freedom to pursue her academic goals while also dedicating her time to improving her craft. After researching alternative educational options in the area, her parents discovered iSchool Virtual Academy and enrolled her at the start of her seventh-grade year.
The iSVA mission of providing hope for students through a virtual, mastery-based, blended learning educational option struck the ideal balance of her academic and extracurricular aspirations, allowing her to excel as a scholar and dancer.

Through iSVA, Rodriguez could pursue her academic goals while dedicating time to practicing her craft.
Beyond the school’s customized and flexible learning experience, Elizabeta shared that her favorite and most notable moments while attending iSVA were those with her teachers.
“Throughout my time there, I became super close with my French teacher, Ms. Delgado, and my Creative Writing teacher, Dr. Giffen,” said Elizabeta. “Ms. Martin also helped me with enrollment in dual credit classes, which allowed me to connect with teachers outside of iSVA.”
Not only did Elizabeta succeed in her studies, she got selected to join the iSchool Virtual Academy TCPA Chapter of the National Honor Society during her junior year.
Since graduating, Elizabeta plans to pursue a career as a professional ballet dancer and is currently training at Texas Ballet Theater in their Professional Training Division. Her future goals include finishing her associate degree at Lone Star College and working towards her higher education while continuing her dance career.
“I feel that iSVA has prepared me well for my future,” she shared. “Dual credit classes allowed me to challenge myself, and I am grateful iSVA allows students to take college courses. The challenge made me grow as a student and an individual.”
