Genavieve plays an instrumental role in highlighting the connections and overwhelming success of the iSVA community. Here, she helps us share the story of a standout student, Briana Sanchez.
iSchool Virtual Academy student Briana Sanchez has a passion for martial arts beginning at seven years old and quickly flourished. However, the world of mixed martial arts (MMA) truly captured her heart, blending her diverse skills and talents into one sport.
Despite facing age restrictions, her determination remained unwavering. As soon as she met all sports requirements, she seized the opportunity to pursue her MMA aspirations wholeheartedly. Under the guidance of her coach, she delved into the world of youth MMA with unmatched dedication and enthusiasm.
Her commitment to her sport has yielded impressive results, including a silver medal at the 2023 Youth MMA Championships in Abu Dhabi, a two-time World Karate Champion, and most recently, the title of National Youth MMA Champion. Her achievements are a testament to her never-ending pursuit of excellence in athletics and academics.
Recognizing the need for flexibility in her demanding schedule, her mother enrolled her at iSchool Virtual Academy, where her academic performance has soared. Her family credits her success in the classroom to the supportive, hands-on staff and self-paced curriculum.
