We are excited to welcome back iSchool Virtual Academy (iSVA) Communication & Relationships Manager Genavieve Meyer as a special guest contributor for this story. Genavieve plays an instrumental role in highlighting the connections and overwhelming success of the iSVA community. Here, she helps us share the story of recent graduate Logan Flory.

Logan joined iSVA in October 2023, making the transition from a traditional public school to the flexibility and unique opportunities that iSVA offers. For Logan and his family, the move wasn’t just about academics; it was about creating space for him to grow both personally and academically while continuing to pursue his passions.
“I’ve enjoyed watching him become more independent and develop essential life skills like time management, communication, and self-discipline,” Logan’s mom told us. “He’s been able to travel with his cheer team, stay on top of his schoolwork, work part-time as a cheer and tumbling coach, and receive one-on-one support from his teachers when needed.”
A lifelong athlete, Logan has spent 12 seasons as a baseball catcher on select teams and has participated in several sports, including cross-country, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu. However, it was in co-ed cheerleading that Logan discovered his true passion. He especially enjoys stunting and hopes to one day cheer at the collegiate level and eventually become a full-time cheer coach.

Beyond academics and athletics, Logan is also an active member of his community. He has worked as a tumbling and cheer coach, competed on the Montgomery County 4-H Shotgun Team, and served on the Montgomery County Fair & Rodeo Junior Committee throughout all four years of high school.
Since graduating from iSVA in May, Logan has been preparing to move to Florida to join the Senior Worlds Team, Top Gun TGLC, in Miami. This fall, he will begin studying marketing at Florida International University while continuing to cheer at the collegiate level.
