On April 3, the American Airlines Center was alive with energy as students, staff, and families from across Ignite campuses came together for a day of teamwork, school pride, and community connection. The event tipped off with a half-court tournament, where student teams from each campus competed for the title of Ignite Campus Champion. The excitement carried into a fan-favorite finale as the winning team faced off against Ignite staff in an action-packed Teacher vs. Student showdown.

The celebration continued into the evening, with attendees staying to watch the Dallas Mavericks take on the Orlando Magic, turning the day into a full showcase of basketball and community spirit.

“This event truly captured what Ignite is all about: connection, opportunity, and creating memorable experiences for our scholars,” said Ronald Shepard, School Operations Manager for Ignite Community Schools. “We are grateful for this partnership with the Mavericks and the generosity they have shown Ignite Community Schools and our families.”
