Founders Classical Academy – Lewisville alumna Caitlynn Walsh at Texas A&M University

Join us in congratulating our Founders Classical Academy – Lewisville alumna Caitlynn Walsh on her recent appointment as Corps Commander for the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets for the 2023-24 school year.

Following her graduation from Founders Classical Academy – Lewisville in 2020, Caitlynn enrolled at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, to pursue a degree in political science. Caitlynn previously served as Corps Sergeant Major in the 2022-23 school year and joined three fellow cadets in filling the most senior leadership positions.

The selection process for these positions is rigorous and includes an application submission followed by panel interviews. Cadets are evaluated based on several criteria, including academic excellence, past leadership accomplishments, peer and staff appraisals, and their vision for the future.

“The Corps of Cadets has prepared me for life after college by allowing me to build a strong foundation of leadership, character, and professional development,” said Caitlynn. “This year, I hope to inspire others by setting an example and showing commitment to the values that the Corps represents.”

After graduating from Texas A&M, Caitlynn is planning for commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.
