Meet our College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Counselor for El Paso and Central Texas, Luis Sanchez! Luis joined the ResponsiveEd Family in 2017, providing hope for students preparing for graduation.
Originally from far West Texas, Luis earned a Master of Science in Media Research from the University of Stirling, Scotland, and a Ph.D. in Musicology from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Before joining ResponsiveEd, Luis served at the high school and college levels, including as a Lead Teacher for American YouthWorks in Austin.
As a College, Career, and Military Readiness Counselor, Luis works closely with high school seniors to advise them on individual plans and goals post-graduation. Additionally, this role allows Luis to support campus staff and leadership on matters like CCMR awareness, implementation and best practices, and student data aggregation and monitoring.
“I feel very fortunate to be able to play a part in our students’ journeys to graduation and beyond,” said Luis. “ I am also so grateful to have worked with some very talented and experienced educators who have shown me how to be a better educator myself.”
