Former Premier High School Supt. & current Foundation School for Autism Supervisor Dina Acevedo

As we continue celebrating our 25th anniversary, it is an honor to recognize those who have been with our organization for several years. One such member of the ResponsiveEd family is Dina Acevedo, who has been instrumental in our mission to provide hope for over 20 years.

Originally from New Mexico, she earned a degree in elementary education from New Mexico State University and a master’s in guidance counseling and Mid-Management Certification from the University of Texas-Pan American. She began her career in education as a teacher and school counselor for McAllen ISD before transitioning into administrative roles, including serving as a principal for Mission CISD.

Upon joining ResponsiveEd in 2003, she took on the role of campus director at our Premier High School – Brownsville while also contributing to the establishment of Eagle Academy in Mission, now Premier High School – Mission. Dina’s hard work as campus director led her to our Home Office in Lewisville, Texas, where she served as regional director and eventually superintendent of Premier High Schools

Retired from her role as superintendent, Dina now dedicates her time and experience to supervising and supporting our Foundation Schools for Autism in Plano and San Antonio. This role allows her to work closely with campus leadership and the community to respond to the campus’ diverse interests and needs. Additionally, she works to provide the resources necessary for a safe and effective learning environment, ensuring that all school operations are compliant with state and district standards and policies.

“I love working for ResponsiveEd because of the shared mission of providing hope for all students,” said Dina. “I am grateful for the opportunities to continue to grow as an educator and for the leadership and the values they embody.”

Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication, Dina!
