At ResponsiveEd, we are focused not only on the success of our students but on the achievements and growth of our talented educators leading the way. As we assemble the best collection of talent around to inspire and provide hope for students, we are honored to spotlight those already making a difference in the lives of our students across the district.
This week, we sat down with Natalee Jordan, who teaches English, language arts, and reading (ELAR) at Ignite Community School – Fallbrook.

Ignite Community School – Fallbrook Teacher Natalee Jordan
Tell Us About Yourself
I was raised in Hempstead, Texas, and graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a degree in interdisciplinary studies and a master’s in curriculum and instruction. I joined ResponsiveEd in 2022 and teach English, language arts, and reading at Ignite Community School – Fallbrook.
What inspired you to become an educator?
My parents, second and third-grade teachers, and two former principals inspired my decision to become a teacher. Their influence sparked my passion for learning and has inspired me to help students find their voice, build confidence, and embrace the power of education.
What are some things that your students have taught you?
The power of resilience is one of the biggest lessons my students have taught me. Their ability to persevere, even in difficult circumstances, is truly inspiring and reminds me of the importance of fostering a growth mindset in the classroom.
Additionally, my students have shown me the importance of relationships. When students feel heard, valued, and supported, they are more likely to engage and excel. These connections go beyond academics—they allow me to understand each student as a person, not just as a learner.
What are you most proud of about your time with Ignite Community School – Fallbrook?
I am most proud of having the opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of students. Whether it’s through the individual connections I’ve built in the classroom or the growth I’ve witnessed in their academic and personal development, it’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that prioritizes the success and well-being of every student.
What do you like most about being an educator for your campus?
What I like most about working for ResponsiveEd is the strong sense of community and support. The collaborative environment makes it easy to share ideas, resources, and strategies to improve the educational experience for our students.
