Founders Classical Academy – Lewisville alum, Naomi Jemison, has been a volleyball star for as long as she can remember. After first stepping on the court in sixth grade, she continued to improve her game by playing at the high school and city league levels with the dream to one day play for a four-year college.
Fortunately, that dream was one step closer to reality when the class of 2022 received over 10 million dollars in scholarship offers this past May, with Naomi receiving close to two million dollars of that total from colleges and universities across the country.
Not only is Naomi a star on the court, but she is a stand-out student both in and out of the classroom. She continues to spend much of her (little) free time giving back to the community at Founders Classical Academy – Lewisville by spending her summers organizing school supplies for teachers and their classrooms and helping coordinate various student events on campus.
“Naomi’s strong work ethic and dedication to her athletic and academic goals and the people around her really show what we are all about here at Founders Classical. She is truly a product of the amazing education she has gotten with ResponsiveEd and is just a stand-out person all around,” teachers Monika Grzesiak and Dr. Jonathan Woods told us. “She has such a kind heart and is a strong leader among her peers, and we could not be more proud of her and this amazing accomplishment,” they added.
Naomi has accepted a full academic and athletic scholarship from Kansas City Kansas Community College, where she plans to earn her associate’s degree in early childhood education before continuing her education at a four-year college.
