We are thrilled to share about our Director of Behavioral & Mental Health Jessica Hammock’s recent invitation to speak at the Women’s Virtual Networking Organization. This prestigious virtual event saw Jessica connecting with audience members across the United Kingdom, France, and Denmark.
Her session delved into how the body deals with stress and trauma. Throughout the session, she provided practical tips on how to effectively release emotions, relax, and reset our nervous systems. The talk was informative and empowering, giving attendees valuable tools to manage their mental health.
As Director of Behavioral & Mental Health, Jessica works closely with staff and administrators to train them on current mental health information and protocols for ResponsiveEd. Her position also allows her to provide individual counseling, serve as part of the Behavioral Threat Assessment Team at each campus, and lead a team of counselors who respond to mental health crises across our district.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to teach people around the world about the importance of mental health and the support and coping mechanisms that are available,” said Jessica.
As a Certified School Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Clinical Certified Trauma Specialist, Jessica is passionate about mental wellness and providing our staff and students with the tools and resources they need to relieve stress and have a successful academic experience.
We are incredibly proud of her contributions and unwavering dedication to improving mental health within our schools and beyond.
