Meet College Testing Coordinator Gayla Castle! Gayla joined the ResponsiveEd family in 2010 and is crucial in helping students across the district prepare for their future beyond high school. Born and raised in Granbury, Texas, Gayla holds a bachelor’s in music education from Abilene Christian University and a master’s in school counseling from the University of Texas – Tyler.

Her career in education began in 2008 when she worked as an assistant choir director at Abilene High School and a private voice instructor at Cooper High School in Abilene. In 2010, Gayla joined ResponsiveEd as an assistant teacher at Premier High School – Granbury. Over the years, she ventured into different roles within the organization, spending five years working in the Special Education department.

As college testing coordinator, Gayla oversees the coordination of various college tests across the district, including the PSAT, SAT, ACT, and TSIA. Additionally, Gayla offers a virtual testing option for students to take the TSI Assessment, ensuring accessibility and convenience. Her position allows her to be a vital source of support for students looking to go to college, start a career, or join the military.

“Witnessing the success of former students who have gone on to make positive contributions to their communities and achieve their personal and professional goals is so fulfilling,” said Gayla. “I am grateful for the strong connections I have built with my colleagues and the opportunity to work alongside exceptional individuals who share my passion for student success.”

Thank you for all that you do for our students, Gayla!
