LEWISVILLE, Texas – August 25, 2020 – One of the largest charter school operators in the United States received approval to open two Grayson County schools which are slated to open next school year. The locations in Whitewright and Sherman will provide the community with a classical education at a tuition-free, public school of choice. The Whitewright location will be located at Kings Trail Church and ResponsiveEd is currently narrowing down options for the Sherman location.

ResponsiveEd Chief Education Architect and Texoma area resident, Alan Wimberley is overjoyed to bring school choice to residents in Grayson County.

“We are honored and excited to join local public school leaders in Denison, Sherman and Whitewright to provide a quality public school option to children in Texoma,” he said. “As our name suggests, ResponsiveEd was founded twenty years ago on the idea that public schools should be responsive to the communities they serve and our move to Grayson County is no different. The community support for public schools of choice has been overwhelming and we look forward to working with local leaders as we do in communities across the state.”

As open-enrollment charter schools, both locations will soon release additional information including enrollment details.
