At ResponsiveEd, we are focused not only on the success of our students but on the achievements and growth of our talented educators leading the way. As we assemble the best collection of talent around to inspire and provide hope for students, we are honored to spotlight those already making a difference in the lives of our students across the district.
This week, we sat down with Natalie Tinsley, who teaches ninth and tenth-grade English at Premier High School – San Antonio (Windcrest).
Tell Us About Yourself
I am originally from Beeville, Texas. My husband and I have been married for 26 years and have two children. I joined ResponsiveEd in 2019 and teach English at Premier High School – San Antonio (Windcrest).
What inspired you to become an educator?
I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge and passion for learning with others. Like many people, I have had to overcome hurdles, but looking back, I am proud of all I have accomplished. As a teacher, I want to show my students they can do amazing things.
What are some things that your students have taught you?
My students have taught me the value of being a good listener and to remember that we can learn so much by observing and listening to the world around us.
What are you most proud of about your time with Premier High School – San Antonio (Windcrest)?
I am most proud of how much I have grown as a person and educator throughout my time at our campus.
What do you like most about being an educator for your campus?
I enjoy equipping my students with the tools and skills to lead successful lives. I also enjoy getting to know each of my students and their families on a more personal level each year.
