Tell Us About Yourself
I am from Hale Center, Texas, and received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Harding University. I joined ResponsiveEd in 2023 and teach science, integrated physics and chemistry, biology, and chemistry at Plainview Classical Academy.
What inspired you to become an educator?
I have always had a passion for working with children. In high school, I coached a youth basketball team and spent summers during college as a camp counselor. Seeing kids conquer their fears, build strong teamwork skills, and overcome personal challenges has shaped my character and affirmed my calling to serve others. Teaching allows me to uplift students and empower them to believe in their ability to take on any challenge.
What are some things that your students have taught you?
My students have taught me that sometimes all they need to succeed is a listening ear and to be shown grace. They also remind me of the importance of perseverance, showing me daily that growth comes through challenges. Their resilience reminds me that we can all do hard things with a little encouragement and determination.
What are you most proud of about your time with Plainview Classical Academy?
I am proud to be part of an organization that leads the way in transforming education for all students and working for a campus that instills truth and goodness in every child.
What do you like most about being an educator for your campus?
What I enjoy most is the support ResponsiveEd provides to help teachers grow and succeed. Their dedication to student and teacher success creates a positive environment where everyone can thrive. I am grateful to be part of an organization that values continuous improvement and strives for excellence in education.
