Tell Us About Yourself
I am from Houston, Texas, and graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown. I joined ResponsiveEd in 2024 and teach Physical Education at Quest Collegiate Academy – Shenandoah.
What inspired you to become an educator?
Growing up without a father helped me understand the importance of positive role models in a young person’s life. That experience inspired me to become a teacher so I could make a difference and be that source of support and encouragement for my students.
What are some things that your students have taught you?
My students have taught me that each person learns differently, and they thrive when you take the time to build genuine relationships with them.
What are you most proud of about your time with Quest Collegiate Academy – Shenandoah?
I am most proud of how much my students have grown since I joined the school last year. Change can be difficult, but watching them overcome challenges and take on new challenges throughout the year has been incredibly rewarding.
What do you like most about being an educator at your campus?
What I love most is the supportive and friendly environment among the staff. Everyone is always willing to step in and lend a helping hand.
