Tell Us About Yourself

I was born in Abilene, raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, and studied education at Western Governors University. I served as a reading specialist paraprofessional for Burkburnett ISD. I joined ResponsiveEd in 2022 and teach at Premier High School – Wichita Falls.

What inspired you to become an educator?

I started my career in education in 2009 as a volunteer at Head Start. The principal encouraged me to pursue a degree in education, sparking my passion for teaching. What truly inspires me is seeing the joy on students’ faces when they achieve success. Being the person who can help them thrive—academically or in their everyday lives—motivates me to be the best teacher I can be.

What are some things that your students have taught you?

My students have taught me to approach life with grace and understanding. They’ve shown me how to be more empathetic and have allowed me to make a meaningful impact in their lives.

What are you most proud of about your time with Premier High School – Wichita Falls?

I am most proud of the relationships with students, their families, and my colleagues I have built over the years.

What do you like most about being an educator for your campus?

I love the caring and supportive environment here on campus. The campus leadership is incredibly supportive, and my fellow teachers are always willing to lend a hand, no matter the need.
