Tell Us About Yourself
Growing up in a military family, I had the opportunity to live in many different places. I began teaching preschool during college, which ignited my passion for educating. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in child development and a master’s in education. In 2022, I was honored by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) with an exemplary designation. I joined ResponsiveEd in 2020 and teach fifth grade at El Paso Classical Academy.
What inspired you to become an educator?
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a child. My teachers inspired me through their dedication and demonstrated how impactful an educator can be in shaping lives.
What are some things that your students have taught you?
My students have taught me that mistakes are opportunities for growth and the importance of leading by example. As an educator, I strive to show up each day for my students and provide them with a space where they can thrive.
What are you most proud of about your time with El Paso Classical Academy?
I am most proud of my students and their incredible growth. Watching them achieve the goals we set together as a group is both inspiring and fulfilling. Their dedication and progress make all the effort worthwhile.
What do you like most about being an educator for your campus?
I love that virtues are central to everything we do at Founders Classical Academies. Teaching students that truth, goodness, and beauty transcend our understanding of the world inspires them to become lifelong learners.
