The Texas Charter Schools Association (TCSA) recently announced the appointment of ResponsiveEd CEO Chuck Cook to interim executive director, beginning November 1. TCSA is a non-profit organization that represents more than 90 percent of Texas public charter school students, including more than 22,000 students who attend ResponsiveEd schools.
“Chuck is particularly suited to represent the diverse needs of TCSA’s member schools,” notes outgoing Executive Director David Dunn in his letter to TCSA members. “He was one of the founding board members of the TCSA and I have every confidence in his ability to lead during the interim period.”
Cook will temporarily serve as the interim executive director while the TCSA continues its search for a permanent leader. During his tenure, he will continue to serve as CEO of ResponsiveEd, the charter school company he founded in 1999.
“I am very excited about this opportunity to work with our charter school colleagues through the TCSA,” says Cook. “I firmly believe that my work with TCSA will be mutually beneficial to both ResponsiveEd and the TCSA’s member schools.”
