iSchool High – The Woodlands Student Caleb Portillo

iSchool High – The Woodlands is proud to announce that student Caleb Portillo has been selected for the Education for Tomorrow Alliance (EfTA) Next Generation Leadership Program. This distinction places Caleb among a select group of Montgomery County students recognized for their leadership potential, academic dedication, and commitment to serving their community.

EfTA’s year-long Next Generation Leadership (NGL) program introduces students to leadership opportunities across sectors such as business, government, education, health care, law enforcement, and nonprofit service. Through monthly sessions, guest speakers, site visits, and hands-on activities, participants gain a deeper understanding of how community systems function and explore the diverse careers shaping their region.

For students like Caleb, the program provides opportunities to strengthen leadership skills, expand academic and extracurricular growth, connect with local professionals, learn how civic organizations collaborate, participate in community service, and build relationships with peers from high schools across Montgomery County.

“Caleb’s induction into the program reflects his strong work ethic, curiosity, and commitment to personal growth,” said Michelon Thompson, Campus Director at iSchool High – The Woodlands. “We are incredibly proud of him and look forward to seeing all he will accomplish through this transformative experience.”
