ResponsiveEd is thrilled to announce that iSchool High – Creekside student Blake Gibson was honored with the Congressional Award Gold Medal. The Congressional Award Gold Medal is the highest honor Congress bestows upon youth, acknowledging their initiative, service, and personal growth.
To receive this honor, participants must complete at least 400 hours of voluntary public service, 200 hours of personal development, which can include developing social and life skills and interests, 200 hours of physical fitness, and spend at least five days and four nights exploring a new environment or culture.
“Blake’s hard work and dedication are an inspiration to our entire campus,” said Campus Director José Jasso. “We are incredibly proud of his achievements and excited to see all that he accomplishes in the future.”
Blake will graduate from the Creekside campus in May with both his high school diploma and an associate degree.
