LA MARQUE, Texas July 18,2025 — ResponsiveEd® and Ignite Community School – Mainland, proud to announce that the tuition-free public charter school at 319 Newman Road will expand to serve students in ninth grade beginning in the 2025-26 school year. 

The expansion will allow families to continue their child’s academic journey in a familiar, supportive environment that emphasizes personalized instruction and character development, building on the school’s commitment to providing a high-quality education that meets the needs of families in the La Marque area. 

“This addition is an exciting step forward for the campus, and we look forward to growing alongside our families,” said Campus Director, Andre Matthews.  “Expanding to high school means our students can continue to grow academically and socially with the same dedicated teachers, values, and learning environment they’ve come to trust.”

With the addition of ninth grade, students in grades PK4-9 will have access to a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum that includes core academic subjects, electives, and opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. 

Ignite Community School – Mainland celebrated its 25th anniversary last year on April 25, a date the City of La Marque has named “Ignite Community School Day.”
