Founders Classical Academy – Corinth alumna Lauren Fullington knew she wanted to be a teacher from a young age. After enrolling at the Corinth campus as a bright-eyed third-grader, her love for learning blossomed during her time at the school, thanks in no small part to her fourth-grade teacher, Margaret Carter. Mrs. Carter was more than just a teacher; she was a mentor who instilled a life-long love of learning and a deep sense of self-confidence in Lauren.
Margaret Carter has been a faculty member at the campus since its doors opened in 2007. “Lauren was an excellent student who worked hard and was an inspiration to all who knew her,” said Carter. “She was a student who I knew would do great things in life.”
Founders Classical Academy – Corinth’s classical approach to education and commitment to fostering critical thinking and a love for learning left a lasting impression on Lauren. After graduating from Texas Woman’s University determined to give back to the community that had given her so much, she returned to Founders Classical Academy – Corinth this year, not as a student, but as a teacher working alongside her former teacher, Mrs. Carter.
This school year, Lauren is leaving her mark as a first-grade teacher at the campus, hoping to offer the same support and guidance she once received as a student. Her passion for teaching and invaluable lessons from Mrs. Carter are evident in the classroom and how she engages with her students and colleagues.
As Lauren continues to inspire and guide the next generation of students, her story is a shining example of the profound impact of an educator on shaping the future. Her story is not just about personal success but a testament to the endless possibilities Founders Classical Academies provides students.
