ResponsiveEd and Quest Collegiate Academy – Shenandoah are thrilled to announce that students Lucy Dell, Cheyenne Leija, and Alia Williams have placed in the top 45 percent of entries in the Creative Communications Contest.
Earlier this school year, eighth-grade students at the Shenandoah campus participated in the Creative Communications Contest, a nationwide competition that encourages students to express themselves through original poetry. The contest draws submissions from thousands of schools across the country and provides young writers with the opportunity to have their voices recognized on a national platform.

As a result of their creativity and strong performance, Dell, Lelia, and Williams were invited to have their poetry published in a Creative Communications anthology. In addition to publication honors, the contest recognizes excellence in several ways. The top ten students in each grade division receive a $25 award and a free book. At the same time, participating teachers earn free classroom supplies in recognition of their commitment to supporting student creativity.
“Being selected for publication is a huge achievement for our students that reflects their talent, imagination, and hard work,” said Tamera Myers, Campus Director at Quest Collegiate Academy – Shenandoah. “Opportunities like this help students build confidence, develop their writing skills, and see themselves as authors whose ideas matter.”
