I am originally from Miami, Florida, and hold an Associate’s in Elementary Education from Miami-Dade College and a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies from Nova Southeastern University. I joined ResponsiveEd in 2020 and teach Kindergarten at Quest Collegiate Academy – Shenandoah.

What inspired you to become an educator?

From a young age, I knew I wanted to work with children. My early experiences tutoring, working in after-school programs, and later substituting taught me that teaching goes beyond academics and is about building confidence, fostering curiosity, and helping students discover their potential. I was inspired to become an educator because I wanted to be a positive influence in children’s lives and create an environment where every student feels valued, motivated, and supported.

What are some things that your students have taught you?

My students have taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and seeing the world through a different perspective. They remind me daily that learning is not a one-size-fits-all process and that every child has unique strengths and ways of understanding.
