We are excited to welcome back iSchool Virtual Academy (iSVA) Communication & Relationships Manager, Genavieve Meyer, as a special guest contributor for this story. Genavieve plays an instrumental role in highlighting the connections and overwhelming success of the iSVA community. Here, she helps us share the story of recent graduate Faith Holtz.
A member of the Class of 2023, Faith earned her high school diploma a semester early. After joining iSVA as a junior, she had one clear goal in mind: to accelerate her education while exploring diverse and enriching courses.
“I had the opportunity to finish high school early, and I wanted to take advantage of that,” Faith shared. “This program seemed like the best fit and offered the widest variety of classes.”

Courses like American Sign Language and computer studies deepened her interests and laid the foundation for future academic success. iSVA’s mastery-based curriculum also gave Faith the flexibility to continue pursuing her passion for volleyball without compromising her studies.
After graduating from iSVA, Faith went on to play collegiate volleyball at Sterling College in Kansas, where she earned her bachelor’s degree two years early. She’s now preparing to pursue a graduate degree in Sports Communication and Journalism, with hopes of one day working with nonprofit organizations.
Looking back, she says her time at iSVA taught her lessons that extend far beyond academics. “It helped me realize it’s easier to get your work done sooner rather than later. I also learned that I could be successful in school while building other important skills.”
When asked what advice she’d give her high school self, Faith says, “I would tell her that it will all work out in the end, and this is just a season. The work she puts in will pay off, and I’m proud of her for making the difficult decision to walk away from brick-and-mortar public school.”
At iSVA, we are proud to support and celebrate the achievements of students like Faith. Her story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible with focus, flexibility, and a strong sense of purpose.
